BS ISO 24060-2021 pdf free download.Ships and marine technology一Ship software logging system for operational technology.
4.2 SSLS software and hardware requirements
4.2.1 General requirements
The SSLS shall be able to do the following.
— Constantly monitor one or more network connections for version messages from operational equipment.
— Create log entries for any automatically received data messages with new information. Received data messages with no new information need not be logged.
— Prevent editing ofany data logged from automatically received data messages.
NOTE Correction oferrors in automatic entries can be accomplished by copying the details and entering a newer manual log entry with the value that needed to be changed.
— Log data both automatically and manually. Capture and represent the method with which data were logged (automatic or manual) when viewed in the user interface.
— Display a list of equipment and log entries per equipment.
— Display the complete log and allow searching by equipment details in 412 and log details in 4.2.3.
— Enable storage of service report PDFs or pictures (JPEG or PNG) in association to one or more log entries; if a service report does not result in a software change a log entry duplicating the existing status of the associated equipment should be generated for the service date and associated with the service report.
— Require name of the service provider as in identity of the technician (first name, last name, company) when entering a service report.
— Enable user comments to be entered in association with service reports.
— Automatically and periodically backup the log database to enable recovery in case of failure.
— Require login credentials for users accessing the SSLS.
— Display a list of ship equipment and enable admin credentialed users to manually enter equipment and equipment details such as any information that may have been missing or deemed incorrect in the equipment reports, type of system (from the list in 4.1.1) and equipment physical location. Users need to use the ship’s individual layout scheme to set this item.
4.2.2 SSLS Connected equipment automatic logging requirements
The SSLS shall receive status reports from all connected equipment capable of reporting its own software status via version messages defined herein. Connected equipment in use shall send these reports with a frequency not less than once per 24 hours and not more than once per second. Connected equipment may be connected through any means that successfully delivers the data to the network interface monitored by the SSLS. This can include bridging from serial to Internet Protocol signals or other interconnection and translation methods.
NOTE Later versions of this document are likely to require a controlled, secure network along the lines of IEC 61162-460 with operational inclusion of a shipboard data server as in ISO 19847. Data designs in future versions will likely require data designs for version messages that will be compliant with ISO 19848.
4.2.3 Log entry data requirements
Log entries in the SSLS shall include the following data elements, each identified in terms of whether it is included in the automatic version messages and is automatically entered when possible, or whether it should be entered manually.
— Device type [automatic, if received in VER message for example].
NOTE See description of the VER sentence from IEC 61162-1 for specifics about device type.
— Manufacturer [automatic, if received in VER message for example].
NOTE For automatic VER sentence, this is the Vendor ID, see description of the VER sentence from IEC 61 162-1 for specifics.
— Unique identifier [automatic, if received in VER message for example].
It should be an IEC 61162-450 or IEC 61162-460 unique identifier such as the SF1, if present, or a combined digital fingerprint assembled from other elements herein, or the serial port from which data were received if available. Can use another scheme for maritime assets when and if released. Any ISO 19847 or ISO 19848 equipment identifier can also be used.
— Serial number [automatic, if received in VER message for example].
NOTE Ver manufacturer serial number is acceptable if using VER. See description of the VER sentence from IEC 61 162-1 for specifics. There can be different serial numbers.
— Manufacture date [automatic, if received in VER message for example].
NOTE Set manually, unless Ver Hardware Revision contains a well-formed date.
— Model number [automatic, if received in VER message for example].
NOTE Ver Model Code (Product Code) is acceptable if using VER, see description of the VER sentence from 1EC61162-1 for specifics.
— Date and time of log entry [automatic].
It should be an IEC 61 162-450 or IEC 61 162-460 date and time format, which is UTC.
— Software version [automatic, if received in VER message for example].BS ISO 24060 pdf download.
